Prodad did a very good job just right on time since 2d3 does not support Adobe premiere pro 3.0.
I am using Premiere pro 3.0 with Cineform prospect in HDV (1080x1920) In my opinion it works even better than the $500.- program steady move of 2d3.
A good stabilising program rescues often a useless shaking clip.
I am amazed about the quick rendering and easy intuitive use of the many adjustments. In addition it is nice to see the visualisation during analysing the clips.

Just a quick note to say that next to Sony Vegas Pro 8 Mercalli is the most useful software program I have ever bought. Just a fantastic product! Well thought out and well written. What a fantastic combination.

Avec l'arrivée de la Haute Définition (HD), tous les petits défauts qui ne se voyaient pas sur une vidéo en Définition Standard (SD) deviennent prépondérants... Ainsi, le moindre artefact est grandement amplifié. Ne serait ce qu'une vidéo SD projetée sur un écran HD Ready (upscalling) montre les limites du système.
Aussi, j'apprécie plus que jamais Mercalli, qui supprime totalement les bougés non volontaires sur une vidéo, rendant à l'oeuvre toute sa qualité originale, lui permettant de passer sans encombre sur grand écran (HD). Un outil qui manquait à notre panoplie de vidéaste et maintenant à portée de tous.

As a wildlifecinemaphotographer I often use external ef-lenses with my Canon XLH1 HDV camcorder. Due to extreme focal lenght jittering footage is very common. Thanks to Mercalli I'm able to rescue most of it in post with this easy to use software!

I have looked at several programs that pupport to do image stabilization but Mercalli from ProDAD is without doubt the best I have seen. It is a no brainer to use, basically just click OK and your done. Even on difficult material it performs miracles. In some cases, jerky footage almost looks like it was shot with a steadicam. This is one great plugin for Avid Liquid and other NLE's. I highly recommend it.

This year just before Christmas I discovered a quantity of 8mm reels of film
that had been taken throughout the years by my grandfather (now deceased).
While his heart was in the right place, my grandfather was sorely lacking in
skill when it came to being a camera man. I sent the reels of film to a lab
for digitizing in the hopes that it would help improve the footage, but it
really did not help much.
By chance I came across your site and the Mercalli plugin for Avid Liquid.
With the use of this phenomenal tool I was able to rescue the family video
footage. Before the application of Mercalli the video was almost
unwatchable. The end result was so greatly improved that I copied it all to
DVD and sent it out to family members for Christmas. It was greatly
appreciated by all, and I wish to thank you for helping me to preserve this
bit of family history.

Anyone who does hand-held camcorder work, Mercalli is a MUST have NLE Plug-in. Myself I use Mercalli with my NLE, Edius Pro 4.51c, with a Core2Quad Q6600 CPU system and during the analyzing that is only done once, all 4 cores are operating at over 94% with a super-fast 6x the real-time or 200 frames/second analyzing on my SD footage! The stabilizing quality is top-notch too! Mercalli has saved countless video clips that would of NEVER been seen on the final DVD video. I thank the ProDAD Team for creating such an Excellent stabilizing software, Mercalli. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to stabilize any shaken or bumped video scenes.

with extreme movements and flip over, after rendering the footage is solid as a rock, amazing... very good, if you could see the footage you be dumbfounded as well.

Als wir in der Videoschule Heilbronn von der neuen Software Mercalli erfahren haben, haben wir sofort die Demoversion herunter geladen. Was wir dann in unserem Test zu sehen bekamen, war überragend. Schnell und in sehr hoher Qualität wurde unser Testmaterial stabilisiert. Was uns auch sehr gut gefällt sind die vielen Voreinstellungen. Es gibt eigentlich für jede Situation schon eine Voreinstellung die man nur abrufen muss.
Auf eine solche Software hat der Markt schon lange gewartet.
